Sunny Florida Break

 

 

This little bird and her husband flew to Fort Lauderdale for a few days of sunshine therapy. Ever since I've been recovering from the H1N1 (unfortunately I'm not yet completely recovered), I'm always cold. I've never in my life been a big sun person or beachy at all, but this winter I've really been craving warmth and sunshine. So off we went for a few days.

So we hung out on the beach, soaking up that amazing Florida sunshine. The weather was absolutely perfect - 80 degrees and sunny every day we were there.

 

And I think the best part of my little trip was...

 

...finding the newest Flea Market Style magazine at the Barnes and Noble bookstore and enjoying it at the beach. Really, what could be better?!!

Jeanne d'Arc Living Land

 

Husband is travelling again for business this whole week. Today he is flying from London to Denmark, the home of the infamous Jeanne d'Arc Living.

 

 

 

He just doesn't realize how exciting this is for me.

 

 

 

 

While in Copenhagen he will buy the latest issue for me and my B.F. Apparently, it's available everywhere in Denmark, from grocery stores to magazine stands. 

 

 

 

 

And perhaps he will be able to find some of their beautiful products in a shop...?

 

 

 

 

Like this lovely linen tea towel. Note how I'm always thinking of my husband - this wouldn't take up much space in his suitcase at all :)

Bundles of Vintage French Books Giveaway

Enfin. I've been waiting for a sunny day to photograph the giveaway bundles, but the sun has not been cooperating. Not to worry, we shall commence with the giveaway despite the darker photos:

Bundle #1

 

This is a bundle of five vintage French books. Curiously, the year of publication is not indicated inside (I'm guessing from the 50's or 60's). All published in France. Lovely ivory-beige paper.

Bundle #2

This is a colorful collection of three books- one green cover, one yellow and one blue. One book was published in France, and the other two in Montreal. All from the 60's.

Bundle #3

This is the smallest bundle. Two books, but still sweet. The top book was published in 1936, while the second book has a red cover and was published in the 60's.

It's hard for me to part with these books as they are not easy to find, however I know how much my blogging friends like them so it's fun for me to share (oh, btw it makes husband who prefers zen over bountiful, happy too).  I do appreciate all of my wonderful blogging friends, and even those who I don't know who come by for a visit, so it's my little way of saying "Thank You".
