At the farmhouse I used to have a patch that was my cutting flower garden. Since we're at our city house more than we are at our farmhouse, it has become a bit too high maintenance for it to work out well with respect to the watering and the weeding. This year I sowed wildflower seeds over the entire patch and I think it really is the best solution all things considered.
Husband is away on a big business trip but I'm hoping to get away to the farmhouse for a bit this weekend with my girls and the dog (son working at neighbourhood organic food shop) to get some fresh air, see how things are going in the garden and take a spin on our bicycles...

The wildflowers are so pretty. What a great solution Zita. I love wilflowers.
I hope you and the girls have a lovely time.

I love the wild look rather than a manicured one and no doubt wildflowers are so much easier to grow. I actually bought wildflower seed bombs at Anthropologie last summer but have never tried to plant them. Will they grow in pots? I have big empty ones so maybe I should just put some soil in there, add the seed bombs and see if anything happens. Have a wonderful weekend. Tammy

Beautiful! I did that up at the lake here...years back but the result was not nearly as pretty as yours! Have fun at the farmhouse with the girls! :)

Zita, I did the same thing behind my garage last year and now it's a wildflower jungle! Love those mixed seed boxes. Have fun at the farm! Julie

Dear Zita, after a long long time I'm finally back for a visit. Life has been very busy but extremely fun and exciting just like your patch of while flowers! LOL! I've been writing a Spanish blog for some time now that I would like for you to visit if you have some time (I'll try to translate some parts!)In the meantime, I'll keep coming back like in the good old blogging days! Love much!

I love wildflowers...and have them scattered everywhere. I think they fit the farmhouse style perfectly.

beautiful! Can't beat wildflowers for pretty variety, and you're so good at pretty, Zita. But I can't figure out how to keep your blog among the ones I follow. Silly interfaces are all different, somehow.

I never took ballet but my Sister Clara graduated as a Ballet Teacher for the most prestigious ballet school in Latin America, but quit once she was an adult. I always tell her she should take classes now. Come on, both of you...Plie...pirouette...pique!!!!
