Have noticed that many blogger friends are more or less "done" on the Christmas decorating front but not I. Very slow over here. But that's alright, everyone at their own pace... I really love this little vintage wreath with the pink bell that I thrifted from my favorite Salvation Army store. I found two of them which was perfect since I have two girls and now their bedroom doors are decorated for Christmas.
Our fireplace mantel is getting some Christmas decorations too. This beautiful snow person I bought at the Silver Bella Market this fall.
I like to pull out my little collection of deer every winter. This one I bought at Round Top/Warrenton flea market when I went there over a year ago (btw, did you hear Rachel Ashwell just bought a ranch in Round Top? - can you imagine staying at her ranch by night and antiqueing and junking all day at all of those amazing flea markets?!!). She's lying down in front of a pack of letters from France that I bought from the lovely Jeanne of "A Bushel and a Peck".
So the Christmas decorating is coming along. However, the Christmas shopping is not :) Am I the only one out there that has barely started...?

Hi Zita, I had to come and catch up! The wreaths are so sweet, I know your girls are loving them! I'm ususally over the top at decorating, but I scaled down this year (a little),taking it slow and enjoying it sure beats being a crazy person!

Believe it or not, I have shopped more than I have decorated. Seriously! I do love that little dear, deer! Happy days, my friend. ~Mindy

Love those sweet little wreaths and I love that cutie pie deer.
Rachel Ashwell has truly landed on her feet. I admire her strength and resolve this past year. It has been a difficult one for her.
Merry Christmas dear heart!

You're not the only one. All I've achieved is decorating my front porch (thank you for the lovely compliments btw). I looked at my calendar earlier today and thought, "Oh lord, I'm never going to get time to do anything else!"
I absolutely adore that sweet little wreath from the thrift store, what a great find!
And shopping with Rachel would be interesting. Till I decided to retire several years ago, I used to be one of the managers of a large antique store here in So. California where Rachel shopped all the time. When she had her TV show she bought a lot of the pieces she featured on the show at the shop I worked at & she filmed a couple episodes of the show there too (and stole away one of our workers). She's a lady who knows exactly what she wants. She's very nice, but also very opinionated, picky, and demanding (but in a good way - I don't mean that as a criticism). I'm not sure I'd want to shop with her, she'd snag all the good stuff! :-)

Geez Zita...I missed that little snowman at SB!
Love those thrifted wreaths at MY favorite Canadian Salvation Army...thanks to you! :) I have hardly begun my shopping but with Mr. Flea here to assist and lots of time on our new schedule...I am sure we will get it all done!
And my decorating is slow too...it seems everything has slowed down and we're loving it!
Celebrate the season and have fun with those lovely kids of yours!
Take care, Laura
