Halloween Treats

 

Recently I won lovely Lorraine's giveaway at Paper Bird. 

 

 

I love the Halloween Paper Pumpkin Girl she made with her fabulous sidekick. Don't you just love the grin on that black cat and the fancy boutonniere he's sporting? Such a nice decoration for Halloween. Oh, and that's not all she sent! She also included this gorgeous paper pouch that she filled with all kinds of Halloween ephemera for me - love it!

 

But that's not all. Lorraine knew that I had three kids so she decided to spoil them as well with many, many Halloween treats for them too.

 

Just a small sample of the beautifully wrapped treats she sent. My kids don't know Lorraine, but they absolutely LOVE her! Thanks so much for everything, kind, talented and generous Lorraine!

Which reminds me - need to get a pumpkin as all the pumpkins (10!) that we brought back from the farmhouse garden and placed on our front stairs in the city, have been systematically devoured by squirrels over the last few weeks. My two girls are super excited about the big day tomorrow. My 14 year old son, not so much :)

A Beautiful Fall Day

It's the middle of fall here and a beautiful, crisp, sunny Sunday afternoon. Spent some time shopping for warmer clothes downtown with husband. Now just resting up before my son helps me plant a variety of pink tulip bulbs in the garden...

Wedding in the Rockies

Lovely day.

 

Dear friends of ours got married last weekend in Banff, Alberta. My husband was best man at the wedding. And yes, somehow I made it there with the whole family in tow. Husband's family was there too, so the kids had lots of fun visiting with them as well as the candy store in town.

 

The Rocky mountains are of course beautiful. We stayed in a nearby town called Canmore.

 

 

 

I only wish I had been well enough to go biking on those beautiful mountain trails, but I guess there is always next time...  

Now, must recover from this trip, because I have work to do and Silver Bella to get ready for.

A Nook to Hang Out In

 

 

A cozy place to hang out in. This little nook is in my little room off of the kitchen (I recently did some cleaning up here so that you can actually walk into the room, past the computer). My girls like to lounge around here while I'm on the computer in the corner of this room. 

 

 

My favorite pillow is here. I got it a while ago from the fabulous Marcela of Cottage Charm and Family Inspiration.
