I can't tell you how much fun it was to spend a bit of time with Laura on Friday morning. I took everyone to a cafe downtown for capuccino and hot chocolate and a chat. Then we headed off to share with my new friends a few of my favourite places.
At the top of the list was my Salvation Army store, of course.
(photos borrowed from Laura's blog with permission, since my camera battery was dead)
I was SO happy for Laura because she was able to find a few vintage French books (usually very rare) and the kicker was that it was 50% off day! What luck!
Then it was off down the street to look at some antique shops.
Our last stop on that street was the fabulous L'Atelier du Presbytere, full of vintage French linen goodness.
Laura bought a gorgeous bag here that was sewn by the charming owner of the shop, from a vintage linen dress. I am sure Laura will be posting about it soon on her blog so do stop by and visit her.
I can't tell you how thrilled I was to meet with such a lovely, talented and warm kindred spirit in person, that I got to know through blogging. Laura, we will definitely be getting together again sometime, perhaps to go to a flea market...?

I am so happy that we met and spent these few hours together...you can count on flea markets and junk jaunts in the future ...on both sides of the border! Thank you again for your time and your kindness! I loved meeting you in person and look forward to the next visit!

Ok, whoa!! Which SA do you go to?
The one in Laval really sÜcks, it's tiny and cluttered compared to those pics!!
Lemme know!! I cant remember which area of Montreal you're from (i'm in Laval obviously LOL)... we could swap addresses for thrift stores!
My fave ones are mostly in Laval, some in St-Eustache-Rosemere-Boisbriand as well.
Lemme know if you're interested!

So glad you two got to meet. She is even more special in person as you now know.
She lights up a room!!!!!
She raved about how nice you were and how I'd love you too. I have no doubt!
Your city is one that I've wanted to revisit for a long time.
Maybe someday!

Just for today I will have a program, I may not follow it exactly, but I will have it. I will save myself from two pests: hurry and indecision.
