I have a thing for chandeliers. To me, they are like jewellery in a room. I started my chandelier collection years ago and slowly have been adding them to each and every room. I find they bring a little something special to a room, don't you think?
As you enter our house, you will see this lovely vintage Italian chandelier.
Upstairs in the stairwell, is another vintage Italian chandelier with peach crystals.
Repainting the entrance/stairwell walls is on my to-do list. I have a lovely pale greyish beige paint called "Slipper Satin" all picked out from Farrow and Ball Paints which I think will look lovely with the peach drops.
In my dining room, we have a very large brass chandelier. All three of these chandeliers I was lucky to find over the course of a few years at a fabulous antique shop in my hometown of Toronto - Era Antiques, on Queen St. My mom and I think Brian the owner is a complete gem. He always has amazing things in his small but very stylish shop.
In the background you can see a huge antique Quebec pine mirror. It was the first antique that my husband and I ever bought together, fourteen years ago.
In my bedroom, the master bedroom, you will find my favourite chandelier. I found this Murano glass beauty in an antique shop here in Montreal on Notre Dame St., a street known for its antique shops. When I accidentally saw this chandelier, I knew I had to have it, but I couldn't afford it at that particular time, so I was lucky that the owner of the shop let me put it on lay-away with a deposit.
At our farmhouse, you will also find chandeliers. In the dinette, you will see this little shabby beauty.
And in the living room not yet hooked up, this fabulous chandelier with wooden beads, that I found at Richard and Duane' wonderful shop in Ayer's Cliff, Quebec.
Hope you enjoyed my little chandelier tour.

I love chandeliers as well, I have 14 in my house. I even have one in the utility room! I love the one with the wooden beads, never seen one like that! Maybe I will do a post about my chandeliers and link people back to you where I got the idea! If thats ok?
