What is there not to like about vintage boxes, baskets and baggage? Great for storage, portable, and look nice. I got this lovely old sewing basket from Lucie and Larry's shop in Ayer's Cliff, in the Eastern Townships of Quebec. I bought a couple of things from them and since I liked the shabby seafoam green tray (underneath the basket), they threw it in as a bonus.
This old tackle box I found in Naisi's barn. In a nice shade of green, with just the right amount of rust.
Ahh, and of course I also collect old wicker baskets.
The wicker basket on the bottom left with the little hole in it, is a picnic basket that I got at a flea market in Paris, when I lived there, in the early 90's. Oh, what a special place Paris is to me. It's where I met and fell in love with the man who is now my husband, and it's also where my love of flea markets first began...
